Michael lead the way up the stairs to his second floor apartment and dug out his keys when they approached his door. "I don't think it's all that messy, but no promises. It's the maid's year off," he joked with a smirk over his shoulder. "I dusted a few months ago, so it might not be that bad."
He opened the locks and pushed open the door, indicating that Eli should go ahead into the apartment before closing the door behind them.
After a quick look around, he sighed a little in relief. At least he'd remembered to clean up the kitchen when he'd gotten home from work so his breakfast dishes weren't still sitting there. That was, he thought, something.

Date: 2014-09-15 02:50 am (UTC)Most of Michael's warnings about the state of his apartment fall on deaf ears. Because Eli is scooping out the place as soon as he walks inside, looking for what, he isn't sure exactly. Maybe just wanting to see where Michael spends most of his time, if it looks the way he imagined it. It's tidy, maybe not Eli's kind of tidy, but not bad. It's definitley low-key. Not quite what someone may expect from a doctor with his own practice.
Eli still likes it. "Definitely couldn't been worse I think, and either way I believe I'm willing to give you a free pass," he says.

Date: 2014-09-25 04:17 am (UTC)He finds the bathroom down the hall and a towel, and he has a shower. His shower isn't as quick as it normally is, but that's because Eli keeps drifting off to thoughts of Michael and smiling distractedly at the water rushing in front of his face before he catches himself and rinses the soap off. He dries himself, dons the clothes he'd found. He really hopes Michael doesn't mind because the hoodie which has a university logo on the front is cozy and smells like him actually.
Breakfast for Eli is usually Quill, but he isn't about to wander off that far. Instead, he digs around in the kitchen until he comes across enough to quench his morning hunger pangs. By this time he's normally run a few miles and shoved down a cinnamon roll and a gourmet coffee. He settles for a banana instead. But because it's very early and he doesn't want to actually wake Michael and because the TV is actually in Michael's bedroom, he is left without much to do after that. Naturally he heads back in the bedroom, and he digs his phone out of the pants he wore last night. Sunlight is just beginning to flood into the room through the windows so he gets a good look at Michael still asleep, and he can't help himself. He climbs back on the bed sitting Indian style at the end of it and just watches Michael while eating his banana. Yes, it's a bit creepy but Michael is also adorable right now. Eli even snaps a picture of him on his phone in between bites. All and all, it's much more entertaining (and adorable obviously) than anything he would've found on the TV.
