Eli's awake way before Michael. At his usual time actually. Five am sharp. Even the wonderful night they shared isn't enough to quell his internal clock. He guesses by the adorable face plant Michael still has against the pillow, the guy isn't about to stir. So he lays there a few minutes, well, about three minutes to be exact which is a long time for Eli to remain idle so early in the day. He decides to just do what he normally does. He had spotted a stack of clothes on top of the dresser at some point because when he gets up he remembers it's there. He grabs a grey hoodie and what feels like jeans in the dark, hoping Michael won't mind him borrowing some clothes because his tux isn't fit to be worn again.
He finds the bathroom down the hall and a towel, and he has a shower. His shower isn't as quick as it normally is, but that's because Eli keeps drifting off to thoughts of Michael and smiling distractedly at the water rushing in front of his face before he catches himself and rinses the soap off. He dries himself, dons the clothes he'd found. He really hopes Michael doesn't mind because the hoodie which has a university logo on the front is cozy and smells like him actually.
Breakfast for Eli is usually Quill, but he isn't about to wander off that far. Instead, he digs around in the kitchen until he comes across enough to quench his morning hunger pangs. By this time he's normally run a few miles and shoved down a cinnamon roll and a gourmet coffee. He settles for a banana instead. But because it's very early and he doesn't want to actually wake Michael and because the TV is actually in Michael's bedroom, he is left without much to do after that. Naturally he heads back in the bedroom, and he digs his phone out of the pants he wore last night. Sunlight is just beginning to flood into the room through the windows so he gets a good look at Michael still asleep, and he can't help himself. He climbs back on the bed sitting Indian style at the end of it and just watches Michael while eating his banana. Yes, it's a bit creepy but Michael is also adorable right now. Eli even snaps a picture of him on his phone in between bites. All and all, it's much more entertaining (and adorable obviously) than anything he would've found on the TV.
