Blackout - for Eli

Michael had just finished off the last of the day's charts and was about to check on the few patients he had in the hospital overnight before calling it a very long day and heading home. Home, or maybe a run by Eli's to see if he wanted to walk around and watch the town's kids running around in their costume and play "guess the student/patient" for a while.
Living in an apartment building he rarely, if ever, got a knock on the door. Before, that hadn't bothered, him. Now, it felt more like hiding away.
In fact, he thought, pulling out his phone to call Eli, that was beginning to sound like a great plan for the night.
