Michael lead the way up the stairs to his second floor apartment and dug out his keys when they approached his door. "I don't think it's all that messy, but no promises. It's the maid's year off," he joked with a smirk over his shoulder. "I dusted a few months ago, so it might not be that bad."
He opened the locks and pushed open the door, indicating that Eli should go ahead into the apartment before closing the door behind them.
After a quick look around, he sighed a little in relief. At least he'd remembered to clean up the kitchen when he'd gotten home from work so his breakfast dishes weren't still sitting there. That was, he thought, something.

"I should have known then," Michael told him in a soft voice, "I kept dreaming about you, the way your skin felt when I was looking for a broken collarbone." He laughed a little, pecked at his lips. "Which is probably a little creepy, now that I think about it."
Then, because the taste of him was so strong on his lips, he angled his head and kissed him again, deeper this time and with a little more heat.

Eli allows Michael to kiss him, savoring the taste of his lips and the gentle pressure of his tongue, feeling the warmth radiating off his skin as he holds him closely. All he can think, is this is nice, this is trouble too but nice. He leans away, a chuckle bubbling up. "You did not..." he raises his eyebrows with a grin. "You had dreams about me," he teases not sure why it's funny or makes him feel even warmer to know maybe Michael liked him straight away.

"I did, even though they confused me at the time," Michael replied, smiling in response to his laughter. "They weren't much back then, just memories I'd revisit while I slept. Meeting you, checking your shoulder, pretty benign to start with. They, ah, changed a little after dinner last week."
He knew he was blushing and found he didn't really care.

“Oh they did, Now did they?” Eli smirks even wider, even though following their first date Michael definitely popped up several stray thoughts here and there. Well, more than here and there, Eli really couldn’t stop thinking about Michael, about seeing him again, and doing this, kissing him and holding him. It’s impossible for him not too, Michael’s adorable. He even blushes over telling Eli about his own dreams. He tugs Michael in a little closer with the hands on his hips.
“What did you dream about doing then? ‘Cos this could be your lucky night."

Michael felt his heart trip in his chest when Eli pulled him closer, then it started to beat in double time over his words. "In the dreams, I didn't back away or stop," he told him, leaning in towards his mouth, because it was easier when he wasn't eye to eye. "In the dreams, I kept touching you, and you'd touch me."
He lowered and kissed Eli again then, because it seemed the perfect time for it, but also hoping to cool a little of the flush to his cheeks over what he'd told him.

With a smile, Eli pressed his lips back to Michael's thinking he hopes he wouldn't pull away from him this time. Even if nothing else were to happen. Because he agrees with him, all of this just feels right. Perfect even. It feels like he want to kiss Michael the rest of the night, or maybe longer.
He lifts one hand onto the back of Michael's neck where he's bent slight forward to kiss him. "I wanna stay with you. Tonight. Is that ok?" he asks.

Michael closed his eyes, took a breath and nodded. Then he pulled back enough to look into Eli's face again, eyes searching and seeming to find something. To find just what he was looking for, maybe hoping for. "Yes. That's very, very okay," he told him with a smile. "I want that, too. I want that very much."
He pulled Eli closer, kissed him again, and started walking them backwards.

His breath feels suspended in his lungs for a few seconds until Michael nods back at him, says he wants Eli to say too. His mouth lifts into a pleased smile, just as Michael kisses him again, moving them backwards through the apartment. Eli's never been here. He doesn't know which direction Michael is taking them. He doesn't care. He just keeps his eyes shut, letting his mouth linger on Michael's for a moment, his heart speeding up in his chest as they walk.

Michael thought, briefly, about the couch. The very cheap, and somewhat uncomfortable couch that he rarely used other than to set things on. He discarded the thought at once and kept them moving back towards the one indulgence he'd bought for himself when he'd moved in, and the room he spent most of his time in. His bedroom. Once they crossed the threshold, he broke his mouth reluctantly from Eli's and looked into his eyes. "I don't want to give the wrong idea, I mean, I don't think I'm ready for anything, ah, like that. But the sofa is like sitting on a canvas covered rock."

Eli looks at Michael giving him a soft smile, breathless from their kiss, and shakes his head, and keeps his hands wrapped tightly around Michael's neck, playing with the hairs at his neck. "We'll do whatever you want to do," he assures him, letting his lips linger against Michael's again. "But I appreciate your concern for comfort..." Eli laughs a little, hoping to keep their mood light and comfortable, because there's no pressure here.

"Made the horrible mistake of not fully testing the couch before I bought it. Got it home, stretched out, and immediately bought a TV for the bedroom so I could relax in here instead," Michael told him on a laugh, enjoying just standing there, holding Eli, laughing easily. "Probably would have made more sense to just get another couch, but I didn't. No idea why."
He had to admit, he loved it when Eli played with the hair at the back of his neck. It felt good, very good, almost too good, but he wasn't about to stop him.
no subject
Eli loves how this feels too. Just being with him puts Eli in a good mood which is saying something as Eli is usually always in a good mood. He kisses Michael a couple more times then turns away from him backing into the bedroom a few more steps. He takes in his surroundings thinking if looks close enough he'll find more things about Michael he needs to remember.
"I think you made a good choice," Eli says, laughing, as he perches on the end of the bed. It actually is nice.

He went over to the other side, up near the headboard, and stretched his legs out. "Get comfortable if you want to. I was strangling in that tie."

Eli is more than happy to get more comfortable. He loved getting dressed, but he's happy to kick off his dress shoes and socks. He spins around, getting closer to Michael, until he's resting beside him, leaning his back against the headboard. He begins to undo the cufflinks on dress shirt, unbuttoning the front to reveal the cotton t-shirt he had under it.
"I've slept on enough buses and airplanes to last a lifetime when I played basketball in college. A new bed was the first thing I bought when I moved," he says, laughing. "I should put a tV near mine too. I'd never have to get up."
no subject
He looked over and smiled at Eli, trying not to think how right he looked and definitely not thinking about how great it would be to just hang out here, watching movies together before turning in.
Whoa. Michael. Back that train up.
no subject
Eli sighed shrugging off his dress shirt and laying it across the nightstand beside the bed. Then he settles back again tilting his head to look over at Michael when he feels him grab his hand. Smiling back, Eli knows this should feel...scary than it does. He's laying here with a man he's only known a couple months, and it feels right. It feels perfect. Eli doesn't know how to stop himself from thinking it either.
Maybe he doesn't want to stop.
"No snooze button," Eli says making a face then laughs. He is a morning person. "But a fridge would be good." He shifts over to Michael so their legs are touching just to be closer.

"No snooze button?"
no subject
Eli just laughs looking down where Michael has his face propped up. He uses his free hand to touch his cheek and raises his eyebrows. "Is there anything about me that says 'sleeps through the alarm' really?" He just shakes his head with a smirk. "Five thirty every morning. Jog at six. Quill at seven. You should try it."
no subject
He chanced peeking out at Eli.
no subject
"You just wait." Eli is the type to try convert the cranky into morning people too, but he can't help the burst of laughter at Michael's reaction, at his teasing. He lifts up onto his side watching him and sees him peak out through his arm, at his grinning. "Very cute," Eli says, grabbing at his arm. As they tug back and forth he lets his momentum carry him over into a straddling position over Michael's waist. Eli smiles down at him retaking one of his hands.
"Is that the worst thing about me then?" he asks in a teasing tone, feeling Michael's fingers with his own, ready to move away if Michael wants him to do so.
no subject
He found Eli's searching hands and laced their fingers together. "Yeah," he replied, his voice a little lower than it was just a few minutes ago, "and it's not all that bad. I can work with it."
no subject
"Can you?" Eli snorts letting his fingers fit together with Michael's and he isn't even sure if he can stop touching him even for a second. He hears the deepening in Michael's voice, the hitch in his throat, and it makes Eli's own heart skip a beat or two because he realizes their position, the slight shift in Michael's hips as he settles under Eli's weight. Eli feels it too, feels an urge tighten inside the pit of his stomach too, but he likes this, the ease of it.
He presses his hand against Michael's chest so he can lean down and kiss his mouth.

Eli shivers at the touch against his neck, at the press of his chest tight to Michael's. His heart is racing. He wouldn't be surprised if it's possible to feel it through his ribcage, as Michael deepens their kiss, as Eli opens his mouth to him, trying to be closer. He moves both hands upward, sliding them against his chest.
no subject
That was only half of it, though. He didn't just want to be touched, he wanted to touch as well. So he found the hem of Eli's t-shirt and slipped his hands underneath it to find the warm skin of his sides and slid his hands up.
