"One of those promises I made to myself after med school," Michael told him, shucking the bow tie and jacket from his tux. "No more sleeping on cots or gurneys or anything even remotely resembling them once I was officially a doctor. It wasn't much, but it got me through those forty minute catnaps, thinking that those days were going to end one day."
He went over to the other side, up near the headboard, and stretched his legs out. "Get comfortable if you want to. I was strangling in that tie."
